Day 8

Well today was a better day, laptop came back fixed and ready to go YIPPY, mom brought over dinner YIPPY, and I didn't have to go out anywhere so I could stay nice and warm all day, yes another YIPPY. So since I have my laptop back I can finally play with my photo's.

Carter decided today that he wanted to have a puppet show with the babies puppets that used to be his, so here is the Dolphin eating the seal, I guess that the big boy puppet shows are about animals eating animals.

Sydney was cute this evening she was trying to kiss her glow worm baby, and I loved the colour of glow off her face, so I tried to capture it and well it didn't work so well, so while playing around I think I got the same look as what I was seeing when I was looking at her.

Day 7

No pictures today, I know I am saddened just as much as you all. Really busy day and well I have grumpy children, very grumpy children. Tonight is girls night which is so needed after the shitastic week that we have had here in the Phillips household. My brain is still hurting from last night and some of my readers will know what I am talking about as others will not, but that is fine you aren't missing too much as if I had to explain then your brain would hurt too and it would just cause a situation.

Ok so I get home last night and Chris took a picture of Syd so it counted as a day 7 picture, so I will post it today lol. Since I went out last night I had to defrost some milk and she needed to take the bottle, and she seems to only want to take if from daddy, which is fine with me.

Day 6

So we had playdate with some of Carter's school friends and they had a good time. Two of them even seem to have found love.

Syd had a rough day, her dad put stuff on her head, and she was sporting a bad hair day.

Day 5

So Carter would not let me take his picture today, but I got one of him in the bath. So here is Thursday night bath time for Carter. He let me wash is hair tonight without pitching a fit which is a huge accomplishment and a big step foward for him.

I took a bunch of pictures of Sydney today, why?? because I can, so they are just randoms.

Yeah I figured out how to play with my glow worm. Love her face here.

My view of Sydney while I am getting Carter from school, she looks so impressed.

I am not sure if you can tell how messy she was after eating her dinner, it is her bath night so I let her play with the bowl, she is a match made in heaven for a little messy boy we know.

All Clean in the tub.

Ok I know this is not a child, it is the awesome yummy dinner I made. I came up with it all on my own too lol. Chicken stuffed with homemade Bruschetta and light Mozzarella cheese, and then your plain boring salad.

Day 4

So my original thought of the day was to join the bandwagon even further and take pictures of my kids sleeping and post them as I seemed to have missed the memo yesterday that three of my friends were doing it, BUT taking a picture of Sydney sleeping at the moment is like cheating death in a way with being able to do it without her waking up. So no bandwagon for me today, just the as per usual following my own drum beat.

I love imagination, and I love even more that Carter has such an avid one when it comes to certain toys. Today I caught him playing Animals of the Wild on the couch with a couple of his animal toys, I am not sure if you can see it but the Koala bit it today so unless I being the mommy can perform emergency plastic animal surgery to put the limbs back on
we will be having a private funeral for the Koala after Carter goes to bed. This means in grown up terms I will wait till he is in bed and then throw it out without him seeing. After a week he will forget about it lol.

To say that today was a cold one is an understatement. Sydney was well bundled today to go get her brother and all I could think of when I saw her was the little boy from the movie The Christmas Story saying "I can't put my arms down". Of course in reality she totally could but the thought came when I looked at her so I decided to document it with a picture. When we got home she decided that she wanted to practice for her teenage years and while sitting on the couch with me she grabbed the telephone and proceeded to press numbers.

Day 3

So today is all about Sydney. She is 7 months old today and I keep wondering where have the last 7 months gone. Time totally flies by faster when it is your second child, I don't know if it is because you have the first one as a distraction or if it is because I know this is my last baby and I want to stop time to cherish every moment we have.

Day 2

Today...... what to say about today, it is almost over that is a good sign lol. Just one long day but tomorrow is a new one and hopefully better.

Today was definitely a cold one it seemed to get colder and colder as the day went on. I was dreading picking up Carter from school when I saw the rain start but I went with the baby in the snowy rain because apparently it isn't appropriate to let my 4 year old walk home on his own lol (kidding)
So we get Carter home and he really wants to show me his school work because he was so proud that he got the numbers in the right order and that he even new the one that was missing and got a sticker and everything, his colouring needs work, but hey maybe he is a think outside the box kid.

Before I found out I was having a girl, my best friend told me that if I was having a girl that I had to get a Sophie, Sophie's rock. So me being the person that listens to what I am told to do I waited and then when I found out I was having a girl went out and bought one. I wanted to see what magical powers this Sophie the Giraffe would have on my daughter. Well as it turns out, Sophie is magic, she can keep Sydney content for quite some time and well you don't mess with her Sophie, if she has Sophie you don't try and take her away.

Day 1

Well today was a rainy cold winter day, and the kind of day where you just stay inside where it is warm and cozy.
Carter and I enjoyed playing Uno Moo, Go Fish and Guess Who. Carter loves to play games and if they were to include animals it would be the best game ever. Carter is my sponge, he enjoys learning but his true passion is for animals, it is more of an obsession really but he enjoys them and sharing his knowledge of them with others. Carter is 4 and a little boy of many faces, currently it is pretty hard to get a good picture of him where he doesn't look like he is stoned. He has this habit of closing his eyes into slits, why I don't know he just does it. He is a joy, and loves life and loves to push every single button I have to see what kind of reaction he will get.

Then there is my Sydney, At just almost 7 months old you could buy her a bunch of toys but what she really prefers to do is sit in the front window in her Bumbo and watch the world go by. She sat there today for almost an hour until grandma came over and well then it was all about grandma. Sydney's hair only grows on top, and it stands straight up and out but she can totally pull it off don't you think? When Sydney was born I finally felt complete, I had my 1 boy, 1 girl and my loving husband.

Ahhh bedtime, the best part of the day, well for me it is at least. I love to let the kids play together on Carter's bed before we read Carter his bedtime stories. Sydney loves Carter and he loves to entertain her, he can always get a belly laugh from her. I hope 10 years from now they are still getting as much enjoyment out of each other as they are now.
